Refunds & Cancellations

1.How refunds work

Every refund on Rivvo is paid back to your Rivvo wallet automatically and written to your wallet ledger against the tournament it came from. You never have to ask for a refund that these rules already give you.

The amount refunded is what you actually paid for that tournament, as recorded in your ledger — including the price of a club in tournaments where you buy one.

This policy is part of our Terms of Use and does not affect your statutory rights.

2.Cancelling your own entry

  • You can cancel your entry up to 30 minutes before the tournament starts — 12 hours in long-round tournaments. The deadline is shown on the tournament, and your entry fee goes straight back to your wallet.
  • Once the field is full, entries can no longer be cancelled.
  • Once the tournament has started, entries can no longer be cancelled.
  • If you cancel and change your mind, you can enter again while entry is still open — as a new entry, paid again.

3.When Rivvo cancels or resizes a tournament

When a tournament is not full at the start, it still goes ahead if it can:

  • It shrinks to the largest format it can run. The players who entered last are removed and refunded in full, and the prizes are recalculated for the field that actually plays, under the same split shown before entry.
  • If fewer than 16 players remain, the tournament is cancelled and every entry is refunded in full.
  • If Rivvo cancels a tournament for any other reason, every confirmed entry is refunded in full, automatically.
  • If an organiser removes you from a tournament before it starts, your entry is refunded in full.

4.When there is no refund

  • A finished tournament is not refunded — the matches were played and the prizes paid.
  • Once a tournament has started, entries are not refunded unless Rivvo cancels the tournament.
  • Losing a match does not refund the entry fee — including a walkover (3–0) for not showing up, a forfeit, or a result overturned for breaking the rules.

5.A missing refund

Check your wallet ledger first: every refund is written there against its tournament, and your balance updates the moment it lands.

A refund that fails to go through is never dropped — it is flagged to an organiser, who settles it. If you cannot find a refund in your ledger, write to us with your username and the tournament name.
