Fair Play & Anti-Cheat
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1.One person, one account
- Each person may hold one Rivvo account. Multiple accounts controlled by the same person are a breach of the Terms of Use, and the accounts are closed.
- An email address, a username and a phone number can each belong to one account only.
- To help detect multiple accounts and collusion, we record your IP address and browser or app version when you sign up, log in and enter a tournament.
2.Your game ID
Register the in-game ID you actually play with. Results are matched to it: a photo whose IDs do not match the two players of the match cannot be filed.
While a tournament you are in is running, you can change your in-game ID once. Any further change goes through an organiser, and every change is recorded.
3.Results need proof
- A result exists only with a photo of the final result screen showing both in-game IDs, both teams and the score. There is no way to type a score.
- On phones, the photo is taken through Rivvo’s camera, not picked from the gallery.
- Every photo is read automatically, with up to three independent reads. If they do not agree with certainty, nothing is filed and a human organiser decides.
- Your opponent gets a short window to accept the result or contest it with their own photo. Words alone do not overturn a photo.
4.How we check
- A photo identical to one already submitted for another match goes straight to an organiser.
- A score that exactly repeats one the same two players produced in an earlier match is reviewed by an organiser before it counts.
- The photo must prove the match is over: preview, line-up and paused screens are refused.
- Organisers may also weigh the information stored in a photo file, such as when it was taken, as evidence.
- In tournaments with assigned or purchased clubs, playing with a different club is a 3–0 forfeit against you when your opponent reports it with a photo — even if you won.
5.What is not allowed
- Falsifying evidence, or filing a result for a match that was not played as reported.
- Colluding with an opponent to fix a result or a bracket.
- Using more than one account, or playing on behalf of another person.
- Exploiting bugs in the game or in Rivvo to gain an advantage.
- Abuse, threats, harassment or discriminatory conduct towards other players or staff.
6.Penalties
Nobody is penalised automatically: an organiser decides, with the full history of both players.
- A forged, edited or reused photo, or a result filed for a match not played as reported: the result is overturned and the entry is lost.
- Organisers can ban an account that breaks these rules. A banned account can no longer log in.
- A prize paid on a result later found to be fraudulent may be reversed and the account closed.
7.Reporting a problem
On the match screen, the red flag — “Report a problem” lists everything a player can raise: a dropped connection, an opponent who didn’t show, a wrong score, a wrong team, a broken rule or cheating. What a machine cannot judge goes to a human organiser.
You can also block another player in chat.
Organiser decisions on match results are final for competition purposes. For anything else, see our Complaints page.
